Why You Should Be Eating More Blueberries

I haven’t written about blueberries in this column yet! I know, I was surprised too, but there you have it. Going on year 5 of this magazine, and I’m still surprised 🙂 But I digress. Blueberries have become one of my favorite fruits lately. My parents sometimes claim that I have an aversion to all healthy food, so let this be testament to the fact that I genuinely like blueberries, and they are SO healthy for you. Want proof?
- Blueberries are one of the most nutrient-rich berries out there. They’re packed with fiber, vitamin C, vitamin K, and manganese. One cup of blueberries is only 84 calories, but contains 15 grams of carbs. What more could you ask of a fruit
