I know, I know, but avocados are technically fruit, okay? Just say okay. Even if you think avocados are vegetables, you must agree that avocados are incredibly healthy to eat. These famous fruits are incorporated in many recipes and are becoming very mainstream – but why should you buy into this widespread love of avocado?

  • They’re packed with vitamins – C, B, E, and K, to be specific.
  • In total, avocados contain 20 different nutrients.
  • Avocados are very filling – they contain lots of healthy fats and 160 calories in a single serving – but have very little unhealthy saturated fat.
  • They are low in carbs.
  • Avocados “contain more potassium that bananas,” according to Healthline.
  • Fiber? Say no more, avocados have you covered. Avocados have lots of soluble fiber that is gut friendly.
  • Avocados are said to lower cholesterol levels in the blood, which can reduce risk of heart disease.
