Bruce Mangosteen?!

Also known as the queen of fruits, mangosteen is the exquisite fruit ruler of the tropics. Mangosteen is unique in many ways. The mango-steen tree needs a decade to start fruiting. The fruit gets ripe in the tree and will never ripen further after picking. It also bruises fast and degrades right away making it hard to ship. It is rather a difficult fruit to find in the northern United States. The mangosteen is described to have a decidedly tropical taste, like a lychee and peach combination.

Why should you try to get your paws on a mangosteen?
